InformedVote is a non-partisan Canadian political website that aims to provide the Canadian public with a credible source for political education and information.

Founded in Toronto, Ontario, InformedVote was created just before the federal election in October 2008, after the realization that a lack of non-partisan political information was available to Canadian voters online. Starting off with a single chart outlining the major party’s stances on significant issues facing Canada, InformedVote has grown into a platform for Canadians to share their political opinions and educate the population at large. We hope to spark conversation among our readers, ultimately creating more engagement and interest in Canadian politics to ensure a thriving democracy. After recording the lowest voter turnout in Canadian political history, we hope to reduce voter apathy among the Canadian population through our passionate team of contributors.
